Sun Shines on the Spring Fayre at The Manor House

Bottle feeding spring lambs stole the show at The Manor House Spring Fayre at Barnard Castle on Saturday 18 April as residents and their families, friends and visitors enjoyed the sunshine and homemade afternoon tea.

The lambs, from Wetheriggs Animal Rescue, were accompanied by rabbits, chicks and an albino hedgehog.

Local young folk band Cream Tees and The Manor House’s own residents’ choir provided the music and there were stalls with local crafts, Body Shop products, Usborne Books and a tombola and raffle.

The Manor House lifestyle coordinator Nicky Morse said: “The weather was perfect. All our volunteers and staff worked hard to make sure the day was a successful and enjoyable one.

“We’d like to thank everyone involved, including local businesses, for their generosity and for donating prizes.  From the money raised £100 is going to Staindrop Scouts to help fund their new scout hut.”
