Promotion for Care Home Manager with Hadrian Healthcare Group

Luxury elderly care provider Hadrian Healthcare Group has promoted Morag Purvis, previously manager at the company’s Ridley Park care home in Blyth, to the post of operations director.

The company currently owns and operates nine care homes in the North East and Yorkshire with another three - in Knaresborough, Leeds and Harrogate - due to open over the next two years.

Morag said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed. As the group continues to grow I’ll be leading on our aim to provide the highest quality of person-centred care for all our residents.

“I have a very hands on approach and will be supporting our home managers to lead their teams by example and encouraging all staff to make the most of the training opportunities offered by the group to help them reach their potential.”

Morag is a qualified nurse and worked in the NHS as a ward sister and in a GP practice before moving into care home management. She rejoined the NHS as a nurse inspector for seven years covering care homes and registered providers across Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland. In 2006 she returned to care home management and in 2011 joined Hadrian Healthcare Group to commission and manage Ridley Park.

Jas Gill, managing director of Hadrian Healthcare Group said: “Morag has a great combination of knowledge, skills and experience ideally suited to her new role.

“She managed Ridley Park very successfully and completely understands our ethos. We’re very pleased to have been able to promote to this role from within the company.”
