Easter Bonnet Parade at The Manor House Whickham

Residents and staff at The Manor House care home in Whickham have been busy over Easter with lots of themed activities including an Easter bonnet decorating competition, making tasty Easter chocolate nests and Easter egg hunts.

Krysta Bruynson, lifestyle coordinator at The Manor House said: “Our residents love a fun competition and Easter provides so much inspiration to be creative.”

Pictured with the chocolate rabbit first prize for the Easter bonnet competition is Ann Morris, whose winning design was based on a spring meadow with grass and butterflies.

“Our next competition is sunflower growing,” Krsyta continued. “And we’ve already got off to a fantastic start by decorating the pots, ready for planting.”
