The Manor House Gosforth Hosts The Great British Fair

The Manor House Gosforth held their annual summer fete on Saturday 5 August with the theme of The Great British Fair.

The fair attracted lots of support from the local community and visitors of all ages. It was opened by Barbara Field, a resident at The Manor House.

Talented young local singer Zoe provided entertainment throughout the afternoon. Tyne & Wear Fire and Rescue Service and Northumbria Police were there too alongside community groups from the Dementia Cafe, Brunton Park playgroup and St Aiden's church. And there were 19 stalls with games, activities and things to buy ranging from jams, preserves and old fashion sweets to candles, jewellery and cards.

“The fair has been a real community celebration,” commented Richard Dobinson, lifestyle coordinator at The Manor House. “It was a pleasure to welcome so many people and to see everyone enjoying our lovely home and gardens on such a beautiful afternoon.”
