IOSH Chartered Membership Gained

Karen Brimble, operations manager at luxury elderly care provider Hadrian Healthcare Group, has gained Chartered Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

IOSH is the only organisation in the world that offers chartered membership to health and safety practitioners, recognising the highest professional standards.

Karen worked through the rigorous qualification process for over six years to become a chartered member.

Karen Brimble CMIOSH said: “Achieving chartered status is a very personal and proud moment for me.

“The Care Quality Commission has, rightly, over recent years increased its focus on health and safety. They have done this as a direct result of the liaison agreement they have with the Health and Safety Executive.

“To ensure Hadrian Healthcare remains at the leading edge of care provision I was initially asked to undertake the NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) General Certificate.

“I then progressed to the diploma and sat other NEBOSH qualifications, the final stage being continuing professional development and the chartered membership process with IOSH.”

Jas Gill, managing director of Hadrian Healthcare Group said: “We are delighted that Karen has achieved IOSH chartered membership. She has worked really hard and it is well-deserved recognition.”
