A French-Themed Evening at The Manor House, Gosforth

(written by Sarah-Jane Hewitt, Lifestyle Co-ordinator)

The Manor House, Gosforth was recently transformed into a little corner of France, for a truly special French-themed night.

Guests arrived to the buzz of conversation, French Music and the clink of cocktail glasses in the elegant bar area. Vodka martinis and French-inspired mocktails were served alongside a selection of beautifully presented canapés—just enough to spark the appetite and set the tone for what was to come.

Dinner took place in the main dining area, where the atmosphere was elevated even further by live accordion music, which created a nostalgic backdrop as guests settled in for a three-course menu designed and prepared by our talented chefs. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted and perfectly paired with wines chosen to complement the flavours of the evening.

There was no rush—just laughter, conversation, and the joy of sharing exceptional food and drink in good company. The service was seamless, and the energy in the room spoke for itself: relaxed, happy, and completely immersed in the experience. To finish, guests returned to the bar for after-dinner coffees, where the evening continued to wind down in comfort and style.

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us for this fabulous night - their smiles, kind words, and enjoyment of the details made it unforgettable. Until next time, à bientôt!
