Ray’s Wish for 2023

Ray Woods, who lives at The Manor House Gosforth, had the time of his life when he was invited to watch the Newcastle United vs Southampton match on Sunday 30th April.

 

Ray is a football fanatic and has been a keen follower of Newcastle United all of his life. His ‘Wish for 2023’ was to see Newcastle United play on their home ground again, but he never thought he’d get the opportunity. However, he was in for a big surprise. The Home not only arranged for Ray to go and enjoy watching an amazing 4-1 win to Newcastle, he did it in big style as a special guest in the Moncur Suite, where he also enjoyed a lovely meal and a fantastic view from which to watch the match.

 

One of Ray’s all-time favourite players is Alan Foggon, who he got to meet on the day, and Ray was also given a warm welcome from Bob Moncur – both of whom are in the photo.
